Connecting Your Chromebox to a New WiFi Network

Step 1

Turn off the Chromebox by holding the power button down for 5 seconds. When complete the power light will be off.

 

 

Step 2

Connect a USB Keyboard to the front of the Chromebox.

 

 

Step 3

Turn the Chromebox back on by pressing the power button. If done successfully, the power light will illuminate.

 

Step 4

As the Chromebox is powering up, press Ctrl + Alt + S on the keyboard repeatedly. If done correctly, the Chromebox login screen should appear (see below).

Please note: if the login screen does not appear, repeat steps 1 through 4 until the Chromebox login screen appears.

 

 

Step 5

On the keyboard, press "Tab" until the clock in the bottom right corner of the screen is selected. Once selected, press "Enter" to launch the system menu. Continue pressing "Tab" until the "No Network" icon is selected, then press "Enter":

Step 6

Next, a list of available networks will appear. Press "Tab" to select the desired WiFi connection from the list, then press "Enter":

Step 7

When prompted, enter in the WiFi password, then press ”Enter":

Step 8

Once the WiFi connection is successfully configured, simply restart the Chromebox by powering the device off, then turning back on. The device will download any content updates and begin streaming the desired content.
